・作品コンセプト：
　これは今回の森で15回目になるこのタイトルのシリーズ作品です。
　森の中で木に囲まれた少し開けた場所を見つけると、「もしかすると、以前ここに大きな木が立っていたかもしれない」と私は感じるのです。世界には多くの巨木が今でも生息している。ここ日本にもまだまだ残っている。しかし数百年前はそこら中にあったはずです。その巨木の森の中で人々はくらしていたはずです。世界中の森で何百年もかかって大きくなった木を、私達は住居・家具・仕事・生活のためにものすごいスピードで切って使ってきました。
　今回私の作品素材は、この森で除伐した「シラカシ」の木です。この成長が早い常緑樹は、そこかしこに生育してしまい森を暗いジャングルにしてしまいます。従来の里山としての機能をなくした森を手入れして明るく守り、その他の落葉紅葉樹を成長させるために除伐しています。
　この森にも大きな木があります。でも、もしこんな太く大きな木がここに生えていたら、と想像してみてください。神社にある大きな木のように、私はそれらの木に対して尊敬の念を抱くのです。

・The concept of my work in this forest
This is a series work of this title which is the 15th time in this forest.
When I find a little open space surrounded by trees in the forest, I feel that "Maybe a big tree might have stood here before". Many big trees still live in the world. We still have it in Japan. However, it should have been around there hundreds of years ago. People should have been living in the big trees forest. The tree became larger spans hundreds of years in the forest around the world, we have been using to cut these trees with tremendous speed for housing, furniture, work, living.
The material of my work this time is the tree of "Shirakashi" which was cleared in this forest. This evergreen growing fast grows there and makes the forest a dark jungle. We are treating these forests that have lost their functions as traditional satoyama, protecting them brightly and clearing these trees to grow other fallen leaves trees.
There is also a big tree in this forest. But please imagine if such a big tree is growing here. Like a big tree in a shrine, I have a respect for those trees.
